Drawing once again. I’ve been working on this drawing for almost a week. It’s a busy week, because of lectures, multi location workplace and also in Ramadan month, I don’t have much free time at night because of the tarawih prays and I can’t stay late because I need to wake up early in the morning for my sahur meal. But today is saturday, and I have all afternoon to finish this up.
I hope you like it. (^__^)
The picture was drawn entirely using pen tools except the background and some brushing effect for the background. There are three characters in this drawing. I call them face, alien, and tentacle. After these three main character drawn. Then it’s time to duplicate, transform, rotate, change the fill color, reposition, and adjust it’s opacity. At the end, I ended up in almost a hundred layers for this drawing. It’s because each elements has it’s own layer. Luckily it’s a vector shape layer. It means it’s a pixel independent. We can enlarge or reduce it size without losing quality. Another vector shape advantage is, it doesn’t eat up a lot resources and disk space even though we create many layers. The real challenge is in the way we organized these layers to create pleasing effect. This drawing is based on chapter 2 of Creative Photoshop CS4 Digital Illustration and Art Technique books.
The rest is up to our imagination.
