This bread is called Roti Buaya or Crocodile Bread. You can see it clearly where the name comes from. The larger version of this bread, is usually used as hantaran at a traditional wedding reception in Betawi or Jakarta. Crocodile symbolize faithful promises by the groom to the bride. But strangely, when a man is being unfaithful to his partner, he was also condemned as buaya.
This tiny Roti Buaya is filled with chocholate that I immediately enjoy after the photo session. 😀
